- ➤ The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources said the spongy moth outbreak is over after aerial spraying and natural decline reduced caterpillar numbers. Low populations are expected for the next few years—although some areas may see increases that could require egg mass surveys. WKOW
- ➤ The Wisconsin DNR is offering free tree seedlings to every fourth grader as part of its Arbor Day program—educators can order seedlings by completing the 2026 application by March 16. The initiative sends out about 50,000 seedlings with planting materials to help meet the state's Trillion Trees Pledge. WKOW
