- ➤ The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources said the pheasant season will open statewide at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct.18—hunters are allowed one rooster per day on the opening weekend before the limit rises on Oct.20. The department will stock about 75,000 birds on over 80 public properties and urges hunters to follow firearm safety rules. WKOW
