This morning, the YMCA of Northern Rock County hosts its annual Stair Climb at JP Cullen Stairway at 8 a.m. + a Remembrance Ceremony at Firehouse Park begins at 9 a.m. to honor first responders and recall the bravery of 9/11’s heroes.

The Boys & Girls Club opened its new South Jackson Street clubhouse a few weeks ago and has already attracted about 50 teens while residents request tours; the club will host an open house on Sept.
19 from 10 a.m. to noon, offering self-guided tours and kids activities.
