A Fort Atkinson veteran, Dean Zentz, had his roof replaced by Riedl + Son Exteriors as part of a nationwide program honoring military service, facilitated through a partnership with Habitat for Humanity in Waukesha, Jefferson and Rock Counties.
The program has helped over 850 service members since 2016.

Alliant Energy received verbal approval from the Public Service Commission for a $512 million LNG plant in Town of Rock, with construction planned for later this year and operations set for 2029; officials say the project may create 350 construction jobs (and require 8–16 staff for operations).

Gov. Tony Evers and WisDOT announced 42 locations will receive federal grants to build fast electric vehicle charging stations; the $25 million from the NEVI program will expand Wisconsin's EV network on highway corridors.
Bowhunting season will open Saturday, Sept.
12, and run through Jan. 3. The DNR advises hunters to review updated deer management zones plus bonus antlerless authorizations on its website before planning their hunts.

St. Mary's Hospital nurses filed federal charges with the National Labor Relations Board, accusing SSM Health of breaking labor law by refusing to negotiate a union contract and limiting union information.
Both sides remain focused on resolving staffing issues and supporting patient care.
