- ➤ Jason Nichols suffered severe injuries to both of his legs when a boat propeller struck him on Lake Koshkonong Saturday night and is now in the hospital. His family set up a GoFundMe (to help cover his upcoming medical procedures) and noted his recovery will be long (with extensive treatments needed). WKOW
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ The court set a $15 million bond for Andrea Whitaker (from Madison) who is charged with plotting to poison her boyfriend's former love interest in Rock County; she also faces a $4 million bond in Dane County with her arraignment scheduled for today. WKOW
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Wisconsin DNR urged property owners today to inspect their trees for signs of spongy moth damage. Officials noted that the outbreak — which persisted from 2020 to 2024 — has collapsed and advised continued vigilance to protect local trees. WKOW
