Rodriguez launched her gubernatorial campaign after Governor Tony Evers announced he would not seek re-election—she stressed that state support and arts funding are essential for Wisconsin’s diverse economy. Tony Evers and the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection announced Wednesday $250,000 in grants for nine meat processors to update equipment, make new products, or broaden markets — money set aside in the state budget.
