On Thursday, the Salvation Army of Rock County Women’s Auxiliary visited Ahrens Acres in Brodhead to help prepare for its 39th annual flower sale fundraiser—continuing a nearly 20-year partnership with the venue.

Local cheese sculptor Vicki Janisch will attend the Taste of the Draft event in Green Bay on April 23 — it will run from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Schreiber Foods headquarters.

The event will showcase Wisconsin food and raise funds for GENYOUth to help end student hunger.

A report from the Wisconsin Policy Forum found that exports have slowly declined from a peak of more than $30 billion in 2012 and that new tariffs may make the drop worse.

Many state businesses worry about who will pay the cost as manufacturing and agriculture exports continue to be crucial for the economy.
