Good morning, Janesville.

A group on a nationwide tour has chosen Janesville as its kickoff city and will hold its first meetup today to build a new American Dream.

Firefighters battled a 10-acre grass fire beneath solar panels at North Rock Solar Farm in Edgerton on Monday, calling backup from nearby departments (Evansville and Footville Fire) as they worked for about two hours to fully contain the flames with no injuries reported.

Janesville remembers Jerry Davis (star athlete, coach, baseball manager) whose lifelong work in baseball built a proud local legacy that continues to inspire community fans.
