The Warner Off-Leash Dog Park is closed as officials investigate the death of a dog that visited repeatedly earlier in the week.

Parks staff found no risk to human or animal health and expect final lab results late next week to determine when the park will reopen.

Janesville’s oldest functioning pipe organ has been restored and now produces a sweet, full sound in its historic setting plus local organists praise its revival as an important part of the city’s musical heritage.

Chinese speedskater Ning Zhongyan set an Olympic record in the 1,500 meters at Milan Cortina as he beat American speedskater Jordan Stolz (21-year-old from Wisconsin).

Stolz, who earned silver after earlier gold medals, will take part in the mass start race on Saturday.
